They say here in Melbourne that there is a cultural divide, marked clearly by the Yarra river. North side and south side. Two weeks ago I did the 35km round trip from the deep dark north to St Kilda beach, southside heartland. As I was crossing the bridge over the Yarra I notice the graffiti above on the steps. A ftting message for those crossing the border.
Heffernan Lane in Melbourne is a pretty quiet one. Clean and nice but hang on, what did that sign say? The lane has a permanent installation of text art and all the work is created using traditional shop/street signage formats. Really curious the first time you find yourself there.
